What You'll Be Doing as a Junior Product Manager

  • Maintain and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) in the ERP system, keeping product data accurate through every stage of development.
  • Own the engineering team's file structure and document management — setting the standards and keeping everything organized and accessible.
  • Track all moving parts of product development projects, from prototype components to launch-critical deliverables, and escalate delays before they become problems.
  • Coordinate product launch readiness by ensuring parts, documentation, and information are where they need to be and on time.
  • Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), tracking approvals and making sure updates are reflected across all relevant systems and teams.
  • Serve as the bridge between product development and marketing/sales, handing off product information and assets ahead of every launch.
  • Author technical whitepapers and product documentation, translating engineering details into clear content for customers and internal teams.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings, capture action items, and hold the team accountable to project milestones.
  • Work with vendors and procurement to confirm component lead times and flag any supply risks for upcoming launches.
  • Maintain a lessons-learned knowledge base to help the team continuously improve across product development cycles.

Skills and Experience You'll Need

  • 2–5 years of experience in a product development, manufacturing operations, or project coordination role — ideally in a manufacturing or product-driven environment.
  • Hands-on experience managing BOMs and working within an ERP system (experience with Odoo a plus).
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects without dropping details.
  • Experience with Engineering Change Order (ECO/ECN) processes and document control workflows.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally — you've been the connector between engineering, marketing, and operations before.
  • Strong written communication skills; experience authoring technical documents, product specs, or whitepapers is a significant plus.
  • Familiarity with file management best practices, version control, and document management systems.
  • A proactive mindset — you flag problems before they escalate and find solutions without waiting to be asked.
  • Passion for or familiarity with firearms, hunting, or long-range shooting is a genuine plus, not just a checkbox.
