What You’ll Be Doing as a Chambering Technician:
- Barrel Work: Threading and chambering, laser marking of caliber.
- Set up and verify tooling and fixtures, ensuring they align with CNC programs and shop documents.
- Conduct thorough quality checks on chambered barrels using measuring tools and techniques.
- Maintain detailed production records and utilize the ERP system for tracking work orders and data.
- Proactively identify and report any quality or equipment issues to the CNC Lead.
- Daily CNC maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
Skills and Experience You’ll Need as a Chambering Technician:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Competency in using required tools and measuring devices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and function in a high-pressure environment.
- 2 years of experience in a similar field preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing setting.
- Basic understanding of CNC machine setup procedures.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to independently perform daily machine checks.
