The Person We Want

Are you the guy or gal tossing and turning at night because you have some idea that just has to happen? Do you need to dig in and make it happen?

What will you be doing? Well, we are drowning in incredible machines and technology that need to be implemented. We also have a slew of new products that we have to figure out how to make. There will be lots of fixture design and fabrication, process efficiency evaluation, and even some product testing. The Details

What you will be doing

  • Analyze and plan for the best manufacturing efficiency
  • Audit, create, and implement manufacturing processes
  • Research industry litereature, attend industry specific trade shows and and build a knowledge base of manufacturing trends through conversations with production, engineering and sales professionals which will lead to process improvements
  • Create and sustain a scalable manufacturing environment
  • Ensure all processes are compliant with government laws and regulations
  • Collect and evaluate Statistical Process Control (SPC) data
  • Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs
  • Use CAD / CAM software to evaluate the manufacturabilit of new and existing products, design fixtures, tools, and gauges
  • Review and calculate labor, material and other production costs to improve current processes
  • Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness

What you need to have  

  • Bachelor degree in manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, industrial engineering or mechanical engineering
  • Experience in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software
  • An analytical thinker who is energized by solving problems
  • Independent worker who can easily adapt to a team approach
  • Desire to research and implement new cost saving initiatives
  • Knowledge of equipment purchasing, installation and maintenance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, organizational skills with attention to detail, and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment
  • Proficient with Googlw Workspace or related software
  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
