CNC Machine Operator
unwerks is looking for a full time CNC machine operator to join our manufacturing team. Machinist will be responsible for making or modifying parts for production assembly lines, and producing solutions for a variety of machining scenarios. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can work independently, and as part of a team, who is confident in taking on the highly detailed production of Gunwerks parts.
Understand and follow established material handling and safety requirements specific to CNC machines and production environments.
Work within Gunwerk production schedule to meet delivery demands.
Set and adjust work and tool offsets as needed to produce quality parts.
Perform precise CNC machine setup (ex touch off tools, set zero coordinates, indicate fixtures and parts within .0005” tolerance).
Troubleshoot CNC programs and provide input to the process & quality team for continuous improvement.
Interact with NC code to produce multiple configurations of parts as required
Operate multiple machines when necessary.
Identify and use proper measuring tools and gauges to ensure conformance with engineering drawings and fit/form/function of Gunwerks systems.
Demonstrate understanding of machining applications pertaining to different types of materials.
Ensure work area and tools are kept clean, orderly, and presentable.
High School Diploma or GED
CNC Machine job experience and/or certification from appropriate vocational school
Fluent in CNC Code
Attention to detail and the ability to self-inspect work to ensure quality defects are minimized
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Full time employment of 40 hours per week, overtime when needed, and must be able to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds

Compensation: Commensurate with experience
