Location Information

Class will be held on site at the NRA Whittington Center in Raton, NM. 

All Classes will meet the Evening before class begins at 6:30 PM for Dinner at the Whittington Center Cafeteria.

Note: Regarding the purchase of your Antelope permit and hunting license; the outfitter we are hunting with is waiting for assigned hunt codes for the area we will be hunting.  We will send out a follow up e-mail toward the 1st of August with instructions containing your specific hunt code needed to purchase your license and permit  

 

Bring all appropriate hunting gear for the two days of hunting.

Airport

The closest commercial airport is in Sante Fe, NM (Santa Fe Municipal Airport -

airport code SAF) for those of you flying commercially. From there you can arrange a rental vehicle.

 

Lodging

Lodging is included with this course, students will be staying at the Whittington Center. We will provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks each day of class as well as the rifles, ammunition and ear protection for the course. We will spend part of each day in class and at the range.

 

Your room Assignments will be given to you when we all meet  for Dinner at the Whittington Center Cafeteria.

 

Directions

1. Head west on Clark Ave toward N 2nd St

2. Take the 1st left onto Interstate 25 Business/N 2nd St

Continue to follow Interstate 25 Business

3. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Springer/I-25 S and merge onto I-25 S

4. Take exit 446 to merge onto US-64 W toward Taos

5. Turn right onto Rd 1/Main Rd toward Whittington Center
