The Kudu Exclusive

Start: May 28th - Arrival in East London, South Africa. Transfer to Camp.
End: June 5th - Depart from East London, South Africa. Transfer to Airport.

Nestled in the hills on the boundary of the Transkei, between the Great Kei and Kubusi Rivers, lies an area few have ever heard of, and even fewer have hunted. For generations it has been the secret of the locals whom have safe-guarded this little known region to the outside world. To them there’s nothing that compares to the Cape Bushbuck, and the pursuit of these shy forest dwellers. The sheer numbers and quality is something very few outsiders have ever experienced let alone afforded the opportunity to hunt these Bushbuck in their slice of paradise.

Over the years Kudu numbers have risen and what at first was seen as a rarity has flourished into a stable Kudu population over the past two decades. The lay of the land, characterised by heavy wooded gorges and valleys, with limited access have seen the rise of the Kudu quality like few have ever seen. Bulls living in the back valleys with little to zero human contact have enjoyed a minimum of ten years without any hunting pressure. The thought alone will leave even the most discerning hunter grasping at his binoculars in awe of these monsters on their home turf.

Never before had Kudu tags been issued for the free-ranging areas of the region until 2019. 6 Lucky Gunwerks Hunters joined John X Safaris for the opening season and walked away with something that could be compared to the stuff of legend.

For 2020 John X Safaris have secured 3 Exclusive Kudu tags, going along with the Bushbuck, Nyala, Eland and a host of quality plains game in the region. This 7 day hunt will be hosted by John X Safaris & Gunwerks as we invite a handful of hunters joining us on this opportunity of a lifetime for what has been dubbed “The Greatest Kudu Hunt on Earth.”
