When the Gunwerks Muzzleloader was first introduced, it achieved a unique balance of ease of use with high performance. The original system was capable of taking game at 500 yards with sub-MOA precision, and with a matched BDC turret it was accurate well beyond. The barrel twist, sabot, and bullet were perfectly matched for ease of use and max ballistic performance.

For 2019, Gunwerks has redesigned its popular configuration with accuracy enhancements and usability improvements. Notably, they have engineered a novel two-piece ramrod that stores in the rifle stock without requiring the traditional barrel band. According to President and CEO Aaron Davidson, “Developing a system that allows a free-floating barrel really upped our game on point of impact consistency”.

They are also using the common cartridge case as a primer, eliminating the hassle of handling small primers individually. The Gen 2 Muzzleloader can be built using either the budget minded GRB action, or the upgraded GLR in stainless steel or titanium. You can store two extra primed cases and an extra bullet/sabot under the hinged floorplate.

The new Muzzleloader is built on the Gen 2 Magnus rifle stock with adjustable recoil pad and a unique Picatinny forend mount. Literally, the only thing remaining is the barrel, sabot, bullet combination! Fully customizable, with lead times as short as 90 days and limited on-the-shelf availability, the Gunwerks Long Range Muzzleloader is an exciting advancement in long-range shooting and offers a real advantage when hunting special weapon seasons.
