Your NEXUS Rifle is warranted to be free of manufacturer’s of defects in materials and workmanship for the period of 10 years from the date of purchase. During the warranty period, Gunwerks will, at its sole discretion, correct any manufacturer’s defect in the firearm through repair or replacement with the same or comparable part or model. Ordinary wear and tear, damage from excessive or unintended use, or issues due to neglect, are not considered a defect and are not covered under warranty. The Long Range Shooting System
Rifle - While the rifle itself is the core of the long range shooting system, it’s not necessarily the only element that controls long range performance. A gunwerks rifle is the right platform for precision shots, Gunwerks ergonomics provide an unparalleled shooting experience, reducing felt recoil and improving the shooter’s ability to spot impacts and make quick follow-up shots.
Matched Ammunition - Hand loaded, precision ammunition, built with ideal long range projectiles for ballistic performance and terminal results on game. Gunwerks ammunition is built within extreme tolerances and controlled for consistent lot to lot specifications, so your rifle will shoot the same today as it will 10 years from now.
Optic - If your Gunwerks rifle system was built with an optics and ballistics package, it came with optic mounted, zeroed and ready for “1000 Yards Out Of The Box”. Gunwerks offers a select set of optic choices, all proven and trusted to hold zero, track and perform to our high standards.
Ballistic Turret - The brains of the Gunwerks rifle system. A custom, laser-etched BDC turret simplifies the long range shooting process by keeping yardage the single language spoken from rangefinder to spotter to shooter to rifle. Translating numbers takes time, and in stressful conditions, leaves room for mistakes. A custom yardage turret build specifically for your rifle and ballistic profile offers a true “Range, Dial, Shoot!” solution.
Rangefinder & Ballistic Solver - No long range system is complete without a reliable rangefinder and secondary ballistic solver. The ideal ballistic solutions are integrated and housed in your rangefinder, binocular or similar device, such as the Revic ecosystem of ballistic tools and electro-optics.
Wind Compensation - Wind compensation is often the most challenging aspect of long range shooting. A reliable wind meter, paired with a ballistic solver like the Revic ecosystem of ballistic tools and electro-optics to arrive at a wind hold is key to success.

Operating The Safety
The NEXUS features a three-position, wing style safety. The safety provides a mechanical protection against accidental or unintentional discharge when in good working order and when properly set. Remember, the safety is a mechanical device and can fail, so it is best to always have safe shooting practices in place instead of relying on the safety itself.
Rear (Safety Engaged & Bolt Locked) - With the safety to the rear, the trigger is blocked from firing and the bolt is locked closed
Middle (Safety Engaged & Bolt Unlocked) - With the safety in the middle position, the trigger is blocked from firing, but the bolt is unlocked and can be cycled to unload
Forward (Fire) - With the safety to the forward position, the trigger can be depressed and the rifle is in the fire position
First Rounds
We have shot and zeroed your rifle to 100 or 200 yards. Each person’s shooting style is slightly different. Here, you will perform the finishing touches to make this shooting system yours.First, verify you have the right turret on your scope that best matches your environmental conditions. Each turret is marked for altitude and temperature to help you decide which turret to use. If you do need to change your turret, make sure the zero indicator is lined up with the index mark. Then, simply loosen set screws of the old turret, and lift the turret off the scope.
When replacing with the new turret, adjust it so the zero indicator is lined up with the index mark on the scope. If using a Ballistic Rangefinder like the Revic BR4, multiple turrets are not required.
SHOTS 1-3: Choose a range to zero your rifle. Dial your turret to that range, and shoot a three shot group. Note any difference in group center to point of aim. You can use the reticle in your scope to measure the error in distance.
SHOTS 4-6: Dial your turret to correct for the error and shoot another three shot group. If your rifle is not dead on, dial the correction on the turret and shoot another three shot group. When you are hitting the bullseye, loosen set screws and adjust until the range you are shooting is lined up with the index mark, then tighten the set screws.
SHOTS 7-10: Verify that the turret matches the rifle’s trajectory. Choose another target at a different distance (800-1000 yards is ideal). Dial your turret to that range. Your remaining shots should be on target. If they are not, give us a call at (307) 296-7300 we are happy to provide assistance.

Trigger Pull Adjustment
The NEXUS trigger comes from Gunwerks set at an approximate 2lb. trigger pull. The trigger features an adjustable trigger from approximately 2-4lb. Trigger pull can be fine tuned approximately 1oz per click by rotating the hex screw located on the underside of the trigger housing next to the trigger shoe.
WARNING: The NEXUS trigger is NOT user serviceable. Removal or tampering with the trigger beyond trigger pull weight adjustment mentioned above will void the warranty and may result in serious injury or death. Contact Gunwerks directly with any service needed or questions regarding the trigger.

Firearm Safety
A careless attitude when handling firearms is a dangerous one and will result in damage to your shooting system, injury, and/or death. We encourage you to use common sense when handling firearms and always follow these five rules of safety.
Rule 1: Always point your muzzle in a safe direction. Treat your firearm as if was loaded at all times.
Rule 2: Be sure of your target and what is beyond it. Know what you are shooting at. Never shoot at a skyline. You can never call back a bullet.
Rule 3: Never rely on your safety. Your safety is a mechanical device and can fail.
Rule 4: Make sure your barrel is free from debris and excess lubricant. Not doing so can result in serious injury or even death.
Rule 5: Wear eye and ear protection. Once these precious senses are gone, they are gone for good. Do everything you can to protect them.
