Matt - 7x7 Bull Elk

I spoke with John Porter earlier today and he thought you might
want to see a couple of pictures from our hunt this year. My son, Matt,
shot this 7x7 with the "Best of the West" gun at 1140 yards. I was
dumbfounded when they were setting up my son for the shot. One of the
pictures is of the exit wound and the other a picture of Matt's 7x7. I
also shot my elk, a 6x6, at 550 with the same gun. The ballistics with
these Berger bullets was so impressive that I have spent the last two
weekends loading and shooting some hand loads. I guess it goes without
saying, I am convinced and a believer in this long range shooting at
this point. Once I have settled and what I feel is a good load with
these Bergers, I will be talking with you about a Huskemaw scope.
